HTML - Hyper-Text Markup Language
HTML is the standard data format used on the Internet
for representing mixed-media presentations.
HTML can be used for documentations, help files, data entry forms, lists/tables, displaying images, playing sounds, movies and even interactive 3D.
Virtually all web pages are written in HTML.
HTML has several advantages over previous digital media formats: it's designed to be extensible (plugins),
portable (Windows, unix, MacOS, OS/2) and hardware-independent (can be displayed on low-res, high-res and text-only displays).
A successful web page is dependent on how well its HTML is written... in addition to the value of its content,
a web page should be attractive, well composed and organized in such a way that the data is efficiently transferred over the Net.
